WHEREAS, the Collier County Recycling Ordinance Number 2009-56, established the Waste
Reduction Awards Program (the WRAP award); and,
WHEREAS, the WRAP award recognizes businesses, institutions, and multi -family
residences for enhanced and innovative recycling programs; and,
WHEREAS, ASI Materials, LLC contributes to the greater good of Collier County by
advocating the "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" message, thereby helping to prolong
the usable life of the Collier County Landfill; and,
WHEREAS, ASI Materials, LLC's reuse and source reduction program includes:
• Accepted and recycled more than 52,000 tons of material in 2018.
• Utilizing more than 25,000 tons of the material for fill and road base in this area.
• Accepts horticultural waste for use throughout Collier County.
• Processes tree stumps into mulch or top soil for use throughout the county.
• Processes other natural wood into mulch or top soil.
• Maintaining materials to ensure 100 percent of materials are processed and reused.
WHEREAS, the WRAP award program includes a plaque and space on the county's website
showcasing eco -friendly business practices and recycling programs; and,
WHEREAS, the Solid and Hazardous Waste Management Division congratulates ASI
Materials, LLC and its owner, Tony Migliazzo.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County,
Florida, that we congratulate
