EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve a Resolution for Final Acceptance of the public roadway and drainage
improvements for a portion of that roadway known as CR 951 / Collier Boulevard North, from
Weatherstone Drive to Torre Vista Lane, approximately 1,800 feet of two-lane roadway,
PRROW20150619712.
OBJECTIVE: To have the Board of County Commissioners (Board) grant final approval of the
infrastructure improvements associated with that portion of roadway known as CR 951 / Collier
Boulevard North.
CONSIDERATIONS:
1) On June 5, 2005, the plat for Heritage Bay Commons was recorded. The plat included future
roadway Tract R-4, which this section of roadway is a portion of.
2) The portion of roadway from Immokalee Road to Weatherstone was accepted b y the Board with
Resolution 17-229 on December 12, 2017.
3) The required improvements have been constructed in accordance with the Land Development
Code. The Growth Management Department and the Transportation Services Division have
inspected the improvements on July 25, 2019, and is recommending final acceptance of the
improvements.
4) A resolution for final acceptance has been prepared and approved by the County Attorney’s
Office. The resolution is a requirement of Section 10.02.05 C.1 of the Land Dev elopment Code.
A copy of the document is attached.
FISCAL IMPACT : The roadway and drainage improvements within the Right-of-Way will be
maintained through the Transportation Services Operations and Maintenance budget.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this
action.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been approved as to form and legality, and requires a
majority vote for Board approval. - SAA
RECOMMENDATION: To accept final acceptance of the public roadwa y and drainage improvements
in the subject portion of CR 951 / Collier Boulevard North, and authorize:
1. The Chairman to execute the attached resolution authorizing final acceptance of the
improvements.
