EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve Amendment No. 2 to the 2017 Agreement with the City of Naples
grant application for the South Beach Park Improvement; extend it to February 1, 2020, and make
a finding that this item promotes tourism.
OBJECTIVE: To provide additional time to the City of Naples to complete their approved 2017 grant
project.
CONSIDERATIONS: On October 2, 2018, Amendment No. 1 to the City of Naples agreement was
approved by the BCC and set to expire on September 30, 2019.
Due to unforeseen delays in the bid process, City Council’s upcoming summer break and other
extenuating circumstances this project will not be completed by the deadline of September 30, 2019, as
per the amendment. In order to complete this project, the City of Naples is requesting that this agreement
be extended to February 1, 2020.
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact associated with this action.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality and requires majority vote
for approval. - CMG
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this
action.

2017 Tourism Agreement Between
Collier County and City of Neples
This Amendment, dated ,*"2d*r"tm50l8 to the referenced 2017 Tourism Agreement, shall
be by and between the parties to the original Agreanent, Collier County, a political subdivision of the State
of Florida, ("Counfy"), and the City of Naples.
Statement of Understanding
RE: 2017-18 Tourism Agreement Collier County and City of Naples
WHEREAS, the City ofNaples has requested a one year er(t€nsion of time to complete the 8th Ave.
South Beach Park Improvements, due to delays caused by Hurricane Irrna in September 2017, andto avoid
extensive work taking place during season at the 86 Ave. South Naples Beach location; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has reviewed and approved this request for a
one year extension of time.
In order to continue the services provided for in the miginal Agreernent referenced above, the Parties agree
to amend the Agreanant as provided herein.
