EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to recognize and appropriate revenue from insurance claim recoveries to the
Landscape Operation Fund (112), in the amount of $44,681.74 for Fiscal Year 2019 and authorize
all necessary Budget Amendments.
OBJECTIVE: To recognize and appropriate revenue to the Landscape Operation Fund (112) in the
amount of $44,681.74 for Fiscal Year 2019 and authorize all necessary Budget Amendments.
CONSIDERATION: The Road Maintenance Division’s Landscape Operations Section is respo nsible
for the maintenance, repair, and replacement of County owned median landscape and irrigation. Due to
numerous vehicle crashes, costs for necessary repairs and replacements greatly exceeded the expected
annual routine maintenance costs. Recognizing r evenues from insurance claims will allow for the
purchase of materials needed to make the associated repairs.
FISCAL IMPACT: Budget amendments are necessary to recognize revenue of $44,681.74 and to
transfer funds from Fund (111) to the appropriate funds within Unincorporated Landscape Fund (112).
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this
Executive Summary.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, raises no legal
issues, and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners authorizes the recognition and
appropriation of revenue to the Landscape Fund (112), in the amount of $44,681.74 for Fiscal Year 2019
and authorizes all necessary Budget Amendments.
