EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve and authorize the Chairman to execute Tourist Development Tax
Grant Agreement for 2019/2020 with the City of Naples for Beach Maintenance for a not to exceed
amount of $191,000.
OBJECTIVE: To approve and execute the City of Naples Tourist Development Tax Grant Agreement
for Beach Maintenance for 2019/2020.
CONSIDERATIONS: At the June 11, 2019 Board of County Commissioners’ meeting the City of
Naples 2019/2020 Grant application for tourist development tax funding for Beach Maintenance in the
amount of $191,000 was approved (Item 16A27). This is an annual grant agreement entered into by the
County and the City each year.
The Grant Agreement reflects approval and funding for this project. The Agreement will be presented to
the City of Naples at its August 21, 2019 meeting.
FISCAL IMPACT: Funding, in the amount of $191,000, has been included for this item in the FY20
TDC Fund (195) Budget.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this
action.
ADVISORY COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS: At the May 9, 2019, Coastal Advisory
Committee this item was unanimously recommended for approval by an 8 to 0 vote. At the May 30,
2019, Tourist Development Council meeting, this item was unani mously recommended for approval by a
9 to 0 vote.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality and requires majority vote
for approval. - CMG
