EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
COMMISSIONER REQUEST FOR BOARD APPROVAL FOR PAYMENT TO
ATTEND FUNCTION SERVING A VALID PUBLIC PURPOSE
OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to declare a valid public
purpose for a Commissioncr to attend function/event and approve payment by the Clerk.
CONSIDER.\ TIONS: Pursuant to Resolution No. 99-410, the Board of County
Commissioners has determined that attendance at the functions of fraternal, business,
environmental, educational. charitable, social, professional, trade, homeowners, ethnic,
and civic association/organizations serves a valid public purpose, prO\'ided that said
functions reasonably relate to Collicr COUlily matters.
COMMISSIONER: Donna Fiala
FUNCTION/EVENT: Conservancy ofSW Florida; A Private Event
PUBLIC PURPOSE: To attend the Conservancy ofSW Florida: A Private Event and
network with constituents
DATE OF FU\'CTION/EVENT: Sunday, .Ianua,'y 13,2008
FISCAL IMPACT: $25.00 Funds to he paid li'om Commissioner's travel budget.
RECOMMENDATION: That the [3oard of County Commissioners. in accordance with
Resolution No. 99-410, approve payment by the Clerk for Commissioner Donna Fiala to
attend function serving a valid public purpose.
