EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
COMMISSIONER REQUEST FOR BOARD APPROVAL FOR PAYMENT TO
ATTEND FUNCTION SERVING A VALID PUBLIC PURPOSE
OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to declare a valid public
purpose for a Commissioner to attend function/event and approve payment by the Clerk.
CONSIDERATIONS: Pursuant to Resolution No. 99-410, the Board of County
Commissioners has detem1ined that attendance at the functions of fraternal, business,
enviromnental, educational, charitable, social. professional, trade, homeowners, ethnic,
and civic association/organizations serves a valid public purpose, provided that said
functions reasonably relate to Collier County matters.

FUNCTION/EVENT: Christmas Around the World Festival and Lighted Parade Snow
Gala

PUBLIC PURPOSE: Meet and interact with local business and community leaders.
DA TE OF FUNCTION/EVENT: December 8. 2007
FISCAL IMPACT: $5.00- Funds to be paid ii'om Commissioner's travel budget.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners, in accordance with
Resolution No. 99-4l 0, approve payment by the Clerk for Commissioner Coletta to
attend function serving a valid public purpose.

Seminole CaslDo in Immokalee.

the sports complex at Soccer Field #3. 'h'hen you pull into the parking lot you
