EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
COMMISSIONER REQUEST FOR BOARD APPROVAL FOR PAYMENT TO
ATTEND FUNCTION SERVING A VALID PUBLIC PURPOSE
OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to declare a valid public
purpose for a Commissioner to attend tlmction/event and approve payment by the Clerk.
CONSIDERA TIONS: Pursuant to Resolut ion No. 99-410, the Board of County
Commissioners has detenllined that attendance at the Cunctions of fraternaL business,
environmental. educational. charitable, social, professional, trade, homeowners, ethnic,
and civic association/organizations scrves a valid public purpose, provided that said
functions reasonably relate to Collier County matters.

FUNCTION/EVENT: Armando Galella/Sunrise Academy Lunch Meeting

PUBLIC PURPOSE; To attend the Armando Galella/Sunrise Academy Lunch Meeting
and network with constituents.
DA TE OF FUNCTION/EVENT: Tuesday, November 20,2007
FISCAL IMPACT: $25.00 Funds 10 be paid Crom Commissioner's travel budgct.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners, in aecordance with
Resolution No. 99-4 I 0, approve payment by the Clerk for Commissioner Donna Fiala to
attend function serving a valid public plll'pOSC.
