EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
COMMISSIONER REQUEST FOR BOARD APPROVAL FOR PAYMENT TO
ATTEND FUNCTION SERVING A VALID PUBLIC PURPOSE
OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to declare a valid public
purpose for a Commissioner to attend funetion/event and approve payment by the Clerk,
CONSIDERATIONS: Pursuant (0 Resolution No, 99-4 10, lhe Board of County
Commissioners has determined thaI attendance at the functions of fraternal, business,
environmental, educalional, charitable, social, rrofessional, trade, homeowners, ethnic,
and civic association/organizations servcs a valid public purpose, provided lhat said
functions reasonably relate to Collier County matters,
COMMISSIONER: Donna Fiala
FUNCTION/EVENT: United Arts Council Forum Luncheon
PUBLIC PURPOSE: To participale in the United Alis Council Forum Luncheon and
nelwork with conslituents,
DATE OF FUNCTION/EVENT: Friday, December 7, 2007
FISCAL IMPACT: $15,00 Funds 10 be paid from Commissioncr's travel budget.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioncrs, in accordance with
Resolution No, 99-410, approvc payment by the Clerk for Commissioner Donna Fiala 10
attend function serving a valid public purpose,
