EXEClJTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve a budget. amendment recognizing carry-forward program
income in the amount of $126,766.75 for the State Housing Initiative Partnership (SHIP)
Program.
OBJECTIVE: To recognize carry-forward program income received for the FY06 State
Housing Initiative Partnership (SHIP) Program.
CONSIDERA TION: The SHI P program is awarded to the County and administered by the
Housing and Human Services Depaliment to provide down-payment assistance and residential
rehab for qualifying rcsidents. However. participants are required to I"cpay these funds to the
program in the event the qualifying property is sold or refinanced. f'hese repayments are
considered program income and are utilized to assist additional residents, We have reccived in
excess or $] 26,766.75 over our anticipaled program income.
FISCAL IMPACT: This budget amendment will Increase the SI lIP program budge I by
$126,766.75
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: fhere is no growth management impact associalcd
with the executive summary.
RECOMMENDATION: Stafr recommends that the Board of County Commissioners approve
the attached budget amendment.
