RESOLUTION NO. 2001-491
A RESOLUTION REAPPOINTING MARY ELLEN RAND
TO THE PARKS AND RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD.
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board was created on November 25, 1975,
and was composed of five (5) members; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, on October 25, 1993, adopted Ordinance
No. 93-81 which increased the membership from five (5) members to seven (7) members; and
WHEREAS, the terms of 2 members wi II expire creating vacancies in the category of Urban
Area Community Park District; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from interested parties; and
WHEREAS, a memorandum was provided to the Commissioners on behalf of the Parks
And Recreation Advisory Board providing the Commissioners with the Board's recommendation
for appointment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that Mary Ellen Rand is hereby
reappointed to the Parks And Recreation Advisory Board to represent the Urban Area
Community Park District for a 4 year term, said term expiring December 31, 2005.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and m~iority vote.
