EXECVTlVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve a budg(,t amendment in the amount of $4,938.20 to recognize
additional revenue received in the Services for Seniors program from the Area Agency on
Aging for the State of Florida Alzheimcl"s Disease Initiative program.
OBJECTIVE: The approval of this budget amendment is necessary to recognize additional
grant funding received for the l'lousing and Human Services Department Irom the Area Agency
on Aging and Florida Department of Elder Affairs.
CONSInERA TIONS: Collier County Service:; Ie" Seniors provides in..home and hldlit)' SllppOl1
services to Collier County's frail elderly through graut fltnding received from the State of Florida
Department of Elder Affairs. These grants are flmded fl"Om the State's general revenue. These
programs include the Community Care I,'r the Elderly (CCE), Alzheimer's Disease Initiative
(ADI) Home Care f,ll' the Elderly (liCE) and the Med Waiver prograr1ls. All of the above
mentioned programs are intended to provide in-home and lacility support services to Collier
County', frail elderly. The Services l',r Seniors progrmn received an additional $4.93S.20 in
revenue from Alzheimer's Disease Initiative rrogram to provide l11creased services to seniors in
Collier County.

FISCAL IMPACT: FY OS budget jJ1 fund 123 will mcrease by $4,93S.20. No additional
matching funds are required.
