Dear Mr. Trincado:
Please be advised that you are scheduled to appear before the Collier County Board of
Commissioners at the meeting of January 15, 2008, regarding the above referenced
subject.
Your petition to the Board of County Commissioners will be limited to ten minutes.
Please be advised that the Board will take no action on your petition at this meeting.
However, your petition may be placed on a future agenda for consideration at the
Board's discretion. Therefore, your petition to the Board should be to advise them of
your concern and the need for action by the Board at a future meeting.
The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the Board's Chambers on the Third Floor of the W.
Harmon Turner Building (Building "F") of the government complex. Please arrange to be
present at this meeting and to respond to inquiries by Board members.

I am petitioning a pennit to open the Taekwondo & Fitness Club. The PUD
Ordinance does not include a Taekwondo and fitness club as one of the
Principal Uses of the building or structure. This petition is requested based
on the following:
1. The owner of the property agrees to add Taekwondo and Fitness
Club as one of the Principal Uses of the building, structure.
2. The shopping center counts with 88 parking spaces
3. There will be a van dropping off the children from their schools
4. During the hours of operation of the club, other businesses are
going to be closed (beauty salon closes at 5:00pm, the automobile
service station, and flower by sunny closes at 5:00pm.
5. Residents of the area are already expecting for the club to open its
doors. See the attached supporters for this petition.
6. The classes are planned to be small with no more than 10 children
per class

I request the Taekwondo and Fitness Club to be added in the list of
Principal use of the building for the zoning department to proYide pennit to
open the business in the mentioned location. When I contacted the zoning
department for first time asking if the zone would allowed a TaeKowndo
and Fitness Club to open in the Mir-Mar Shopping Center, I was told by a
staff that it was OK. After I had the place ready to open I was not given the
pennit because the PUD ordinance did not include a Taekwondo and
fitness club in their list of Principal Use. Residents of the area are aware of
the need for their children to be inyolved in sport actiYities, healthy for their
body and mind. In fact at this moment I haye at least 30 parents and
children waiting the place to open without advertisement.

To Whom It May Concern:
I would like to take this opportunity to encourage the opening of the Marital Arts
Academy in the plaza at Immokalee Road and Randall Blvd. I am a counselor at
Corkscrew Middle School and I am often asked by parents to recommend positive after
school activities. Corkscrew Middle School students are drawn to all kinds of sports and
physical activities and the Marital Arts Academy would be one more option for parents to
investigate when choosing activities for their children.
The parents of our students often will have to travel to Naples, Bonita Springs, or other
surrounding areas for work. They need activities for their children that are close to home
so they can transport their children to the sports, clubs or activities without the burden of
extended travel time and expense.
Please consider the children of our community when deciding whether the Marital Arts
Academy will be allowed to open in the plaza at Immokalee Rd. and Randall Blvd. I
believe our CMS students and parents would truly appreciate the opportunity to train in
the Martial Arts Academy that would be located in our own community!
