WHEREAS, the celebration. of [)r. Kings birthday is intended as Q time for all
Amerfcans to reaffirm their commitment to the bosic principals tluzt
underlie our Declaration of Indepentknce and our Constitufion...equallty
and Justice for all; . and.
WHeReAS, on January 21, 2008, the people of Collier County will remember Dr.
King's Dream and reneW our commitment to bringing forth positive
change throughout our nation: and,
WHEREAS, the Collier County Branch of the NAACP wi'll help to empower positive
change in Collier County by presenting the 11 th Annual Dr. Martin
l.iIther King. Jr. Parade and Celebratian, ta be held in the City of
Naples on January 21, 2008.
