EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve a $374,407.54 budget amendment to fund the
construction of a Boat Ramp at the Golden Gate Community Park, Project 800317.
OBJECTIVE: To approve a budget amendment moving $300,000 from Reserves and
$70,407.54 from the Golden Gate Community Park Pavilion Project No. 800316 within the Parks
and Recreation Capital Fund 306 to be placed in the Golden Gate Boat Ramp Project 800317.
CONSIDERATIONS: This project was initially budgeted to analyze the feasibility and cost
assessment for the installation of a boat ramp including the cost of design and permitting fees.
Since the commencement of the project staff has completed the necessary action to expedite the
design and permitting process. Staff has successfully secured all required permits to commence
with the construction of the project.
Staff is now requesting funds to be transferred from Reserves and the Pavilion Project 800316 to
adequately provide the cost of the construction permit fees and the installation cost to construct
the project. The cost of construction is in excess of what was previously budgeted within the
initial approved budget.
_ FISCAL IMPACT: A budget amendment is required moving $300,000 from Reserves and
$70,407.54 from Golden Gate Community Park Pavilion Project No. 800316 within the Park and
Recreation Capital Fund 306 into Golden Gate Boat Ramp Project 800317.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no impact to the Growth Management Plan
related to this action.
RECOMMENDATION: To approve a $370,407.54 budget amendment to fund the Golden
Gate Boat Ramp Project 800317.
