RESOLUTION NO. 2001-455
RESOLUTION APPOINTING MEMBERS TO
THE CONTRACTORS' LICENSING BOARD.
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 90-105, as amended, created the
Contractors' Licensing Board and provides that the Board shall be composed of nine (9)
members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners with a minimum of two (2)
members residing within the corporate city limits of Naples and/or the City of Marco
Island, or recommended to the Board by the Naples City Council and/or the City Council
of the City of Marco Island; and
WHEREAS, on June 8, 1999, as required by Section 489.131(10), Florida Statutes,
the Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance No. 99-45, amending Ordinance
No. 90-105, to include at least 3 members that qualify as consumer representatives;
and
WHEREAS, there are currently two vacancies on this Board for the categories of
Engineer and Contractor; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from various interested parties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1. Michael D. Baril meets the prerequisites for appointment and is hereby
appointed under the category of General Contractor to the Contractors' Licensing Board
for a three year term, said term to expire on June 30, 2004.
2. Kenneth H. Dunne meets the prerequisites for appointment and is hereby
appointed under the category of Engineer to the Contractors' Licensing Board for a
three year term, said term to expire on June 30, 2004.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority vote.
