EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
COMMISSIONER REQUEST FOR BOARD APPROVAL FOR PAYMENT TO
ATTEND FUNCTION SERVING A VALID PUBLIC PURPOSE
OBJECTIVE: For the Board of County Commissioners to deelare a valid public
purpose for a Commissioner to attend functionlevent and approve payment by the Clerk.
CONSIDERATIONS: Pursuant to Resolution No. 99-410, the Board of County
Commissioners has determined that attendance at the functions of fraternal, business,
environmental, educational, charitable, social, professional, trade, homeowners, ethnic,
and civic association/organizations serves a valid public purpose, provided that said
functions reasonably relate to Collier County matters.
COMMISSIONER: Tom Henning
FUNCTION/EVENT: The Marine Industries Association of Collier County Members
Meeting at the Elks Lodge, 3950 Radio Road, Naples.
~ PUBLIC PURPOSE: Was requested to speak.
DA TE OF FUNCTION/EVENT: Tuesday, Feb. 121\ 2008 at 6: 15 p.m.
FISCAL IMPACT: $25.00 Funds to be paid from Commissioner's travel budget.
RECOMMENDA TION: That the Board of County Commissioners, in aceordance with
Resolution No. 99-410, approve payment by the Clerk for Commissioner Tom Henning
to attend funetion serving a valid publie purpose.
