OBJECTIVE: Present to the Board of County Commissioners a summary of the Impact Fee Deferral Agreements recommended for approval in FY08, including the total number of Agreements approved, the total dollar amount deferred and the balance remaining for additional deferrals in FY08. CONSIDERA nONS: Article IV of Chapter 74 of the Code of Laws and Ordinances established a program to defer impact fees for qualified affordable housing. For FY08, Collier County has cOlmnitted $2,835,500 for the deferment of Impact Fees for eligible owner occupied affordable housing. This number represents 3% of the total Impact Fees collected in the prior Fiscal Year. Additionally, Collier County has committed $750.000 for the deferment of Water System Impact Fees and Sewer System Impact Fees. The Ordinance also allows for the deferral of Impact Fees on a total of 225 rental apaJiment units per fiscal year. A Summary oflmoact Fee Deferral Agreements on the March 1 1. 2008 Agenda: . GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: The proposed Agreements are fully consistent with the intent and purpose of Section 74-401 of the Code of Laws and Ordinances of Collier County.
