EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to reject Bid #07- 4098 for the Construction of new Soccer Field at East
Naples Community Park
Objective: The Board of County Commissioners should reject Bid #07- 4098 for use by Parks
and Recreation Department for the construction of new soccer field.
Considerations: The proposed soccer field in East Naples Community Park includes
construction of new soccer field complete with site work, drainage, electrical and landscaping.
Site work and drainage work will be redesigned to meet the project's budget.
Bid #07- 4098 for the construction of soccer tield was posted on December IS, 2006. A total of
194 notices were sent out to prospective bidders, 9 plans were sold and four bids were received
on January 17, 2007. The four bidders were:
Wright Construction
Bradanna
Quality Enterprise
Vanderbilt Bay Construction

Parks and Recreation staff reviewed and evaluated the bids and considered the bids to be too
costly for the project. Therefore, staff recommends to reject Bid #07- 4098 for the construction
of new soccer field.
Fiscal Impact: There is no Fiscal Impact related to this action.
Growth Management Impact: There is no impact to the Grow1h Management Plan.
Recommendation: That the Board of County Commissioners rejects Bid #07-4098 for the
construction of soccer field at East Naples Community Park,
