EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation for the Board of County Commissioners to approve a budget amendment
to move the remaining balance of $200,000 from the Tropicana Boulevard Bridge Project
(601621) to the Planning Consultant Services Project (601091) within the Transportation
Supported Gas Tax Fund.
OBJECTIVE: To approve a budget amendment moving the remaining balance of funds set
aside for a joint project with the School District associated with the Tropicana Boulevard Bridge
into the Transportation Planning Consultant Services fund.
CONSIDERA TIONS: The School District and the County jointly participated in the
construction of the Tropicana Boulevard Bridge. The bridge has been completed and all
obligations related to the joint project have been fulfilled. The County has a remaining balance of
$200,000 in a fund that is ready to be closed. The Transportation Planning Department has begun
the next level of the East of951 Horizon Study as well as an update to the model used to review
several DRIs that have been submitted, The funds will be used to procure general consultant
services for tasks associated with updating the County's model and evaluating Countywide
impacts from existing and proposed developments consistent with the East of 95 I Horizon Study
and recent DR! submittals,
FISCAL IMPACT: A budget amendment is needed to transfer funds in the amount of
$200,000 from the Tropicana Bridge Project (601621) to the Planning Consultants Project
(601091) to cover non-recurring expenses for the evaluation ofland use and DR! traffic forecasts
east of951 within the Gas Tax Fund 313.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management Impact associated
with this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners approves the necessary
budget amendment to move the remaining balance of $200,000 from the Tropicana Boulevard
Bridge Project (60!621) to the Planning Consultant Services Project (601 091) within the Gas
Tax Fund (313).
