EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Collier County Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) selection of Chairman and Vice
Chairman for calendar year 2008
OBJECTIVE: To select Collier County Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Chairman
and Vice Chairman for calendar year 2008.
CONSIDERATIONS: In accordance with Section 163.357(1), Florida Statutes, the Collier
County Board of County Commissioners has declared itself to be the Collier County Community
Redevelopment Agency as an additional duty of office. Reference to the members of the CRA as
a whole shall be "CRA Board" or "CRA". An individual membcr of the CRA shall be referred to
as a "Commissioner." CRA Board terms shall be simultaneous with terms of members of the
Board of County Cornmissioners.
On March 27, 2001, The CRA adopted CRA Resolution 2001-98 which states: 'Except for the
Secretary, officers shall be elected at the Annual Meeting of the Agency. Election requires
nomination from the floor and an affirmative vote by a majority ofthc CRA members present
and voting on an annual basis, providcd a quorum is present at such meeting. Officers shall be
seated immediately upon their election.
FISCAL IMPACT: None.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: None.
RECOMMENDATION: For the Collier County Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA)
to select calcndar year 2008 Chairman and Vice Chairman.
