Councils of America Platinum /..evel Well Workplace Award on February
6, 2008; and.
WI-IER€AS, Collier County Government met a rigorous set of crite,..ia and received
recognition as one of America', healthiest organizations; and,
WJ./EREAS. 'Collier County Government. In winning the Platinum Well Workplace
Award, successfully developed a comprehensive work ~/ture thtJt
svpporls the mental. emotional, and physical well-being of all
employees: and,
WJ./EREAS, Collier County Government captured the support of the County
Manager to maintain such a culture: and.
WHEREAS, Collier County Government Human Resources and Risk Management
l>eptJrtment programs have driven such efforts: and,
WJ./EREAS, the Wellness Program crafnd an operating plan. chase appropriate
interventions, and consistently evaluated the respective outcomes;

Platinum Level Awards awarded cu:ross the nation, and no other
County Government has ever received the Platinum Level Award: and.
WHEREAS. this awtzrd distinguishes Collier County Government as a leader and
