EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to award Bid #08-5054 "Golden Gate Blvd. Phase 1 (951 to 29th Street
SW), Phase 2 (29th Street SW to 13th Street SW) and 13th Street SW (Chicane medians)
Annnal Maintenance Contract" to Renfroe & Jackson, Inc. in the amount of $102,470.25
(Fund 111, Cost Center 163815).
OBJECTIVE: Award Bid #08-5054 "Golden Gate Blvd. Phase I (951 to 29th Street SW),
Phase 2 (29th Street SW to 13th Street SW) and 13th Street SW (Chicane medians) Annual
Maintenance Contract" to Renfroe & Jackson, Inc. in the amount of $102,470.25 for
approximately four (4) miles of landscaping and inigation.
CONSIDERA nONS: On February 26, 2008, the Purchasing Department sent out two hundred
and thirty-four (234) notices for the Golden Gate Blvd. Phase 1 (951 to 29th Street SW), Phase 2
(29th Street SW to 13th Street SW) and 13th Street SW (Chicane medians) Annual Maintenance
Contract. On March 4, 2008, a pre-bid meeting was held. On March 19,2008 nine (9) bids were
opened. Staff reviewed the bids and recommends awarding to the apparent low bidder Renfroe
& Jackson, Inc. in the amount of$102,470.25.

with this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners award Bid #08-5054
"Golden Gate Blvd. Phase] (951 to 29th Street SW), Phase 2 (29th Street SW to 13th Street SW)
and 13th Street SW (Chicane medians) Annual Maintenance Contract" to Renfroe & Jackson,
Inc. and authorize the Chairman to execute the standard contract after review by the County
Attorney's Office in the amount of $] 02,470.25.
