Recommendation to award Bid #08-5053 "Goodlette-Frank Road (Pine Ridge Road to
Vanderbilt Beach Road) M.S.T.D Annual Maintenance Contract" to Caribbean Lawn &
Garden of SW Naples FI, Inc. in the amount of $61,638.75 (Fund 111 Cost Centers 163860).
OBJECTIVE: Award Bid #08-5053 "Goodlette-Frank Road (Pine Ridge Road to Vanderbilt
Beach Road) Annual Maintenance Contract" to Caribbean Lawn & Garden of SW Naples F~
Inc. in the amount of $6] ,638.75 for approximately four (4) miles oflandscaping and irrigation.
CONSIDERATIONS: On February 21,2008, the Purchasing Department sent out two hundred
and thirty-four (234) notices for the Goodlette-Frank Road (Pine Ridge Road to Vanderbilt
Beach Road) Annual Maintenance Contract. On March 4, 2008, a pre-bid meeting was held. On
March ]4, 2008, ten (10) bids were opened. Staff reviewed the bids and recommends awarding
to the apparent low bidder, Caribbean Lawn & Garden of SW Naples FI, Inc. in the amount of
$61,638.75.

GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated
with this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners award Bid #08-5053
"Goodlette-Frank Road (Pine Ridge Road to Vanderbilt Beach Road) Annual Maintenance
Contract" to Caribbean Lawn & Garden of SW Naples Fl, Inc. and authorize the Chairman to
execute the standard contract after review by the County Attorney's Office in the amount of
$6],638.75.
