EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation for the Board of County Commissioners to approve a budget amendment
to recognize the transfer of funds from several projects in the Collier County
Transportation Pathways Program into Project No. 690811 for the Collier County
Transportation Pathways Program in the amount of $1,015,643.81.
OBJECTIVE: To obtain approval from the Board of County Commissioners to approve a
budget amendment to recognize the transfer of funds in the amount of $1,015,643.81 from
several Transportation Pathways Program Projects into Project No. 690811.
CONSIDERATIONS: Funding for sidewalks/pathwayslbike lanes (Projects) was placed into
separate accounts created for individual projects. The amount of funding was based upon
estimates for the design and construction of these Projects. Contracts are now in place and
several of the projects have been completed. With the economic down turn, many of the projects
came in lower than the estimates, creating excess funds in the projects. The excess funds in the
Projects have been recognized and transferred into one pathway project, which is Countywide
Pathways Program No. 690811.
FISCAL IMPACT: A budget amendment is needed to recognize the transfer of funds into a
Countywide Pathways Program in the amount of$1 ,015,643.81.

GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management Impact associated
with this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners approve the necessary
budget amendment.
