APPOINTMENT OF MEMBER(S) TO THE COUNTY GOVERNMENT PRODUCTIVITY
COMMITTEE
OBJECTIVE: To appoint 2 members to fulfill the remainder of vacant terms to the County
Govemment Productivity Committee.
CONSIDERATIONS: The County Government Productivity Committee has 2 vacancies
with the terms expiring on February 4, 2009 and 20 I O. This committee is composed of II
members, with the vice chair of the Board of County Commissioners serving in a liaison
capacity. The members are appointed by resolution of the Board of County Commissioners for a
two-year term and must be permanent residents and electors of Collier County. Committee
members are required to possess special expertise and experience related to managing large
organizations, and must be balanced in representing the views of the community. The committee
reviews the efficiency of departments of County Government under the jurisdiction of the Board
of County Commissioners. The committee may analyze and review existing structure,
organization, staffing, management, functions, business practices, and procedures of any or all
parts of county govemment and make recommendations for increased efficiency and cost-
effectiveness. The committee may also assist in the implementation of those recommendations.

We current have 1 vacant position with the term expiring of February 4, 2010 and 1 vacancy as a
result of nonattendance. A press release was issued and resumes were received from the

This 11 member committee was created on 01/20/91 by Ord. No. 91-10 (amended by Ord. No.

Community Services Advisory Board- City of Naples
(2007-2008).Subject to the Sunshine law and appointed by the
Naples City Council, our 7 member Board meets monthly in televised
. meetings to deal with a wide range of city issues and services-
special events, Naples Pier, Naples beach, parks and public facilities,
the Tree Board, Naples City Dock, Naples Bay operations are some
of the many Advisory Board's responsibility. (See attached
Organizational Table, Ref 1)
Naples Chamber of Commerce (2008). As a local
. business owner, Tucker of Naples, the Chamber has prov:ided many
opportunities to work with other community leaders in the city and
county. The Chamber has helped me develop a better understandihg
of the relationship between the County and the City of Naples
businesses and process.

Community Services Advisory Board for the balance of a three year term concluding June 18,
