PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, water fallows a natura/ cycle from Earth to air to Earth
again; and,
WHEREAS, water is a basic and essential need of every living creature;
and,
WHEREAS, our health, comfort, and standard of living depend upon an
abundant supply of safe drinking water; and,
WHEREAS, the citizens of Collier County should have a safe and
dependable supply of water both now and in the future; and,
WHEREAS, we are calling upon each citizen to help protect our water
"~$OUrces from pollution. to practice water conservation, and
to be ;nvolvt'!d in local water issues.
NOW THEREFORE, be /t procla/med by the Board of County Commissioners
of Collier County, Flor/da, that the week of May 4 - 10,
2008 be recognized as Dr/nk/ng Water Week.
