EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to a_rei Contract No. 08-6056, "Roberts Ranch Pioneer Museum
Drlve_y and SIte Work" to FTA Holdings LLC dba Ace Asphalt, for the construction and
site work of a drlve_y and side_lk for the Church Building in the amount of $74,828.00
OBJECTIVE: To receive Board approval for Contract No. 08-5056 with Ace Asphalt in the
amount of $74,828.00.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Board of County Commissioners approved $150,000 in capital
improvements at Roberts' Ranch in the FY 2008 County budget, The restoration and
rehabilitation of the church building was completed with prior year funding. The construction of i
a driveway and sidewalk are required to obtain a Certificate of Occupancy. The remaining I
funds will be used for landscaping and exhibits, When completed, the historic church building ~
will provide a visitor and interpretive center for the Immokalee Pioneer Museum at Roberts' i
Ranch.
County staff sent out 465 notices requesting bids for this project on March 10, 2008, A total of
103 bid packages were requested, with thirteen firms submitting proposals. On April 9, 2008
the bids were opened. Upon review and evaluation by the Museum staff and the designing
architect firm, Ace Asphalt was found to be the lowest qualified and responsive bidder. The bid

Collier County Museum staff has verified the bid results and dollar amounts since the attached
bid tabulation sheet was printed, and Ace Asphalt is verified as the lowest qualified and
responsive bidder.
FISCAL IMPACT: Funds in the amount of $150,000.00 are available in Roberts Ranch's
current building improvement budget, within the Museum Fund (198).
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management Impact associated with
this item.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners approve Contract No, OS-
5058 with FTA Holdings LLC dba Ace Asphalt in the amount of $74.828, for a driveway,
sidewalk and related site work at Roberts Ranch Pioneer Museum and authorize the Chairman
to sign the standard County Attorney approved contract.
