New Hope Ministries has destroyed a large part of a heavily wooded buffer separating the church property from
Briar Landings at the Enclave, This affects residents at Briar Landings and Lake Pointe at the Enclave, Last June,
the church held a Neighborhood Information Meeting and several residents attended, many solely due to
concerns about the woods behind their condos, Church officials assured residents that the church would maintain
a 10- to 20-foot buffer and would maintain the preserve, the wooded area that blocked our view of the church, As
a result of these assurances, residents were given a false sense of comfort that the woods that provided privacy
and a lush, beautiful view would remain, So residents felt no need to attend the county planning board or
commissioners meetings because there was nothing to protest or protect. It appears the church not only lied to us,
but to the county, Residents woke up last month to bulldozers tearing up the mature trees and shrubs and now
have a view of glaring flood lights, boxy cement church buildings, 13 air conditioners, a construction trailer,
mounds of dirt and trees, bulldozers, cranes, and other construction and church activity,

I have, so far, collected 112 signatures of residents who want the privacy buffer restored and
am continuing my petition drive, We are asking commissioners to help us get mature trees and
shrubs replaced so we don't have any view of the church property and construction, We
understand the church was required to purchase property to mitigate because it was putting
too much development on the land, We believe our problem needs to be part of their
mitigation plan since we were so adversely affected, There are no trees behind some condos
now and many of the trees that surrounded the lake also were ripped out.

buffer between the two properties to obstruct the glaring flood
lights, church buildings, seven air conditioners, construction trailer,
mounds of dirt and trees, construction and church activity.
We are:.asking Collier Countvwran AIMS Case and a stop-work
order to determine wheth~'New Hope Miiiistiies has overstepped the
bounds of its permits and to re-evaluate the effect of construction on
residents living at Briar Landings at the Enclave.
It is our mission to preserve our buffer.
