Recommendation that the Board of County Commissioners A ward Bid #08-5085 in
the amount of $79,660 for Pelican Bay Streetscape Oakmont Parkway Irrigation to
Stahlman-England Irrigation, Inc.
OBJECTIVE: To award Bid #08-5085 in the amount of $79,660 for Pelican Bay
Streetscape Oakmont Parkway Irrigation to Stahlman-England Irrigation, Inc,
CONSIDERA TIONS:
I. Bid #08-5085 was posted on May 8, 2008. Five hundred and sixty six (566)
notices were sent and three (3) bids were received and opened on July 2, 2008.
2, Staff has reviewed the bids and determined that the low bid was submitted by
Stahlman-England Irrigation, Inc. Therefore, staff recommends award of Bid #08-
5085 to Stahlman-England, Inc, as the lowest qualified responsive bidder.
FISCAL IMPACT: The fiscal impact for Bid #08-5085 is $79,660 with the funds
available in the Pelican Bay Phase VII Oakmont Parkway Irrigation Improvements
Project, Fund 322,
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management Impact
resulting from this action,
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners award Bid #08-
5085 in the amount of $79,660 to Stahlman-England Irrigation, Inc. and to authorize the
Chairman to sign the standard contract after review by the County Attorney,
