Approval of this Proclamation is in keeping with Resolution No. 2000-149 whereby the
County Manager can approve "In Absentia" items in the Board of County Commissioners
absence.
"Approval of this item by the County Manager is subject to formal ratification by the
Board of County Commissioners, If the decision by the County Manager is not ratified
by that Board, this item shall be enforceable against Collier County only to the extent
authorized by law in the absence of such ratification by that Board."

the state and across the nation have Joined the MlI$CUlar Oystraphy
Association far the ptJSt 54 years in the fight against neuromll$CUlar

WHEREAS, the Muscular Oystraphy Assaciatlan is extrem.1y grateful ta the Collier
County Firefighters w/rQs. Fill-the-Boot campaign will assist MOA in
providing servlcu such as loeal clinics, summer camp, res.arch grants,
support groups, and public education s.minars at no cost to loeal children
and famill.s; and,
WHEREAS, in honor of the .fforts ~ the firefighters of Collier County, MOA is
spansoring Co/lier County Firefighter Appreciation Week for the wuJc ~
August 25, 2008; and,
