Recommendation to reject Bid #08-5002 "Pressure Cieaning".
OBJECTIVE: To obtain approval from the Board of Collier County Commissioners to reject Bid
#08-5002 "Pressure Cleaning".
CONSIDERATION: On November 11, 2007, Bid #08-5002 was opened and six qualified bids
were received. Due to the various types of pressure cleaning and other services provided under
this proposed bid, bids were not as competitive as desired. The Department of Facilities
Management uses this bid on a limited basis, with very few "emergency" type of situations.
Staff believes better pricing can be obtained through price quoting and for this reason is
requesting approval to reject this bid.
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact resulting from this Executive Summary.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT: There is no Growth Management Impact associated within this
Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of Collier County Commissioners approves the rejection
of Bid #08-5002, "Pressure Cleaning".
