Recommendation to approve a budget amendment in the amount of $7,260.00 to recognize additional revenue from the collection of co- payments from the Collier County Social Services Program. OBJECTIVE: To obtain approval to recognize additional co-payment revenue received from the Social Services program. CONSIDERATIONS: The Housing and Human Services Department, Social Services program assists Collier County residents who are 100% or below the Federal Poverty Income Guideline with medical care and prescription costs. These services are supported by the general fund of the county. The Social Services Program requires that a recipient of services be assessed a co-payment for medical and prescription assistance. The amount of co-payment is determined by the services provided. The Social Services Program has collected an additional $7,260.00 in co- payments for FY 08. The funds will be used for medical, dental care, and prescription assistance to low income residents of Collier County. GROWTH MANAGEMENT: There is no growth management impact from this recommendation. FISCAL IMPACT: FY 08 budget will increase by $7,260.00 RECOMMENDATIONS: Commissioners approve revenue.
