APPOINTMENT. OFr,rnMBER(S) TO THE BA YSHORE BEAUTIFICATION
ADVISORY COMMITIEE
OBJECTIVE: To appoint 2 members to serve 4 year terms, expiring on March 3, 2012, to the
Bayshore Beautification MSTU Advisory Committee.
CONSIDERA TIONS: The Bayshore Beautification MSTU Advisory Committee is a 5
member advisory committee created on December 16, 1997, by Ordinance No, 97-82 to provide
curbing, watering facilities, p1antings and maintenance of the median strips of roadways within
the MSTU; provide traffic calming improvements; and, beautification and maintenance of other
areas within the MSTU. Members will also prepare and recommend an itemized budget to the
Board of County Commissioners. Members must be permanent residents or owners of
commercial property within the MSTU boundaries. A list of the current membership is included
in the backup,
On April 22, 2008, the Board adopted Ordinance 08-20 increasing the membership from 5 to 7
members. A press release was issued and resumes were received from the following 4 interested
