EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Approve a budget amendment for $23,710 to increase budgeted revenues
and budgeted expenses for the sale and purchase of aviation fuel at
Everglades Airpark.
OBJECTIVE: To approve a budget amendment for $23,710 to increase
budgeted revenues and budgeted expenses for the sale and purchase of Av Gas
fuel at Everglades Airpark.
CONSIDERATIONS: In preparing the FY08 budget, Av Gas fuel for Everglades
Airpark was budgeted at $2.78 per gallon. The current cost is $4.37 per gallon.
Because of the increased cost of fuel, the budget authorization for fuel purchases
at Everglades Airpark is nearly exhausted. In order to purchase additional Av
Gas fuel a budget amendment is required.

8,000 gallons of Av Gas fuel at a cost of $34,960 is projected to be needed for
the balance of Fiscal year 08. The budget has $11,250 remaining, leaving an
additional requirement of $23,710.
FISCAL IMPACT: The fiscal impact of this budget amendment request nets to
zero. The budget for Av Gas Fuel Expense will be increased by $23,710, and
the revenue budget for Airport AvGas Fuel will be increased by $23,710.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management Impact
associated with this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners approve a
budget amendment for $23,710 for the purchase and sale of aviation fuel at
Everglades Airpark.
