EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommend approval of Amendment Number Two to the 2006-2007 City of
Naples/Collier County Tourism Grant Agreement covering the North Jetty
Doctors Pass Rehabilitation Project providing for a one (1) year extension to
April 1, 2009 and; approval of Amendment Number One to the 2007-2008
City of Naples/Collier County Tourism Grant Agreement covering the North
Jetty Doctors Pass Rehabilitation Project providing for a one year extension
to September 30, 2009.
OBJECTIVE: Provide the City of Naples with additional time to complete the North Jetty Dr.
Pass rehabilitation Project.
CONSIDERATIONS: Amendment No, I to the North Jetty located at Doctors Pass was
approved on October 9, 2007 extending the Contract to April I, 2008, and providing for
additional funding of $6,772, While the engineering and design work have been completed and
the Joint Coast Permit has been submitted to the Florida Department of Environmental
Protection, the City of Naples is still awaiting approval of this permit and is requesting an
additional year for completion of this project, the new completion date will be April I, 2009.
On July 24,2007 an agreement was approved for the North Jetty Dr. Pass Rehabilitation Project,
under the 2007 Tourism Agreement between Collier County and the City of Naples. This
agreement provided for $250,000 in Category "A" funding. The City of Naples is still working
on permitting and will not be able to complete this construction by September 30, 2008, A time
extension of one (I) year is being requested to complete this project till September 30,2009.
ADVISORY COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS: The CAC unanimously (8 to 0)
approved this item at their April 10, 2008 meeting. The TDC unanimously (9 to 0) approved this
item at their April 28, 2008 meeting.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been approved by the County Attorney's Office
for form and legal sufficiency. - CMG
FISCAL IMPACT: The Source of funds is from Category "A" Tourist Development Tax, No
additional funding is required,
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no impact to the Growth Management Plan
related to this action,

(North Jetty Doctors Pass Rehabilitation Project)
This amendment, dated J.!/2u.l. z,y, 2008 to the referenced agreement shall be by and between the parties to the
original Agreement, The City of Naples (to be referred to as "Grantee") and Collier County, Florida, (to be referred
to as "County"),
Statement of Understanding
RE: 2007 Tonrism Agreement Between Collier County and the City of Naples for FY 07

In order to continue the services provided for in the original Contract document referenced above, the Grantee
agrees to amend the above referenced Contract as follows:

additional year. This Amendment shall extend the Agreement through September 30, 2009.
All other terms and conditions of the agreement shall remain in force.
