Re: Public Petition Request to Discuss Waiver of Permit Fees
Dear Reverend Bex:
Please be advised that you are scheduled to appear before the Collier County Board of
Commissioners at the meeting of June 10, 2008 regarding the above referenced subject.
Your petition to the Board of County Commissioners will be limited to ten minutes.
Please be advised that the Board will take no action on your petition at this meeting.
However, your petition may be placed on a future agenda for consideration at the
Board's discretion. If the subject matter is currently under litigation or is an on-going
Code Enforcement case, the Board will hear the item but will not discuss the item after it
has been presented. Therefore, your petition to the Board should be to advise them of
your concern and the need for action by the Board at a future meeting.
The meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the Board's Chambers on the Third Floor of the W.
Harmon Turner Building (Building "F") of the govemment complex. Please arrange to be
present at this meeting and to respond to inquiries by Board members.

We are a ministry that feeds and clothes the homeless and the migrant workers in the
Immokalee area. We set up twice a month with a total of25 setups a year.
Recently we had to purchase a temporary permit. This is costing us $200.00 per setup
and a yearly cost of $5000.00 to give away 2,000.00 in foods and clothing per set up for
the migrant workers and the homeless people.
We are not funded by any organizations and are a faith based ministry trying to help our
local community. We are asking for the permit fee to be waived. So that our ministry
can go further to assist the needs of the less furchanent. We would still comply with all
code enforcement, regulations, setup time and dates. We much appreciate all the help.
