EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation that the Collier County Board of County Commissioners
approve a budget amendment increase in the amount of $46,000 for general
consulting services up to September 30, 2008 required to support on-going
projects at the Immokalee Regional, Marco Island Executive and Everglades
Airports.
OBJECTIVE: That the Collier County Board of County Commissioners approve a
budget amendment increase in the amount $46,000 for general consulting services up
to September 30, 2008 required to support on-going projects at the three County
airports.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Collier County Airport Authority (Authority) requires
unanticipated planning and engineering services for cost estimates of near-term capital
projects including, but not limited to, a runway extension at the Immokalee Regional
Airport, land acquisitions for the Marco Island Executive and Immokalee Regional
Airports, National Guard leasehold planning, legal and survey corrections for the Upland
Management Conservation Easement in Immokalee, and other projects.
URS Corp. (CONSULTANT) has agreed to provide additional general consulting
services, as required, up to September 30, 2008 for an amount not to exceed $64,000.
~ The Authority has $18,000 of this funding available in Airport Fund 495.
A budget amendment increase in the amount of $46,000 is required to fund the
additional general consulting services required to support on-going projects at the three
County airports.
FISCAL IMPACT: The fiscal impact of this Budget Amendment request is an increase
in the Airport Authority General Fund transfer to Fund 495 in the amount of $46,000.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management Impact
associated with this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Collier County Board of County Commissioners
approve a budget amendment increase in the amount of $46,000 for general consulting
services up to September 30, 2008 required to support on-going projects at the three
County airports.

RESOLUTION OF THE COLLIER COUNTY AIRPORT AUTHORITY RECOMMEl'\DING
THAT THE COLLIER COlTl\'TY BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AJ>PROVE A
BUDGET AMENDMENT INCREASE IN THE AMOUNT OF $46,000 FOR GENERAL
CONSULTING SERVICES VJ> TO SEPTEMBER 30, 2008 REQUIRED TO SllI'I'ORT ON-
GOING PROJECTS AT THE IMMOKALEE REGIONAL AIRPORT, MARCO ISLAND
EXECUTIVE AIRPORT AND EVERGLADES AIRPARK.
WHEREAS, the Collier County Airport Authority (Authority) is requiring unanticipated
planning and engineering services for cost estimates of ncar-term capital projects including, hut not
limited 10, a runway extension at the Immokalee Regional Airport. land acquisitions for the Marco and
lmmokalee Airports, National Guard leasehold planning, legal and survey corrections for the Upland
Managemenl Conservation Easement in Immokalee, and other projects.
WHEREAS, URS Corp. (CONSULTANT) has agreed to provide additional general consulting
services, as required, up to September 30. 2008 for an anlOunt not to exceed $64.000; and
WHEREAS, $18.000 of the funding for this Change order is available in Airport Fund 495;
therefore, the additional funds needed for this change order requires a budget amendment increase in
the amount of $46,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COLLIER COUNTY
AIRJ>ORT AUTHORITY, that the Authority hcreby rccommends that the BCC approve a Budget
Amendment increase in the amount of $46.000 for general consulting services up to September 30,
2008 required to support on-going projects at the three Coullty Airports.
