WHEREAS, the severe lack of rai"fall provided a source of ftml for a" 800 acre fire that
grew sigflifica"tly. a"d took the better part of two doys to cDl7tai,,: and,
WHEREAS, flelghborhoads were evacuated a"d roads were closed: and,
WHEREAS, the fire destroyed three homes a"d damaged several athers: arlll.
WHEREAS, Emergeru:y Respa"ders faced extremely hazardous co"ditioflS. placif7!J their lives
on the line to protect our well-being: and;
WHEREAS, it was Dl7ly through the 9alla"t efforts af the Emergeru:y Respa"ders that "0
lives wre lost and pro".rty damage was limited: and,
WHEREAS. reside"ts of Golde" Gote Estates a"d Collier Cou"ty are extremely grateful to
the Emergeru:y Responders who came from around Southwest Florida to defend
and protect lives a"d property: a"d,
WHEREAS, it is appropriate for all Collier Cou"ty citizef7S to jai" i" this tribute ta our
reside"ts a"d Emergeru:y Respa"ders.
NOW THEREFORE. be it proclaimed by the Board of Cou"ty Commissioflers of Collier
Cou"ty. Florida. DI7 behalf of the citize"s of Collier Cou"ty, that all reside"ts
and Emergency Responders are hereby recognized for their tremendous CDUrtlge
and commendable actions during a time of great need.
