EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to ratify additions to and deletions from the 2008 Fiscal Year
Pay and Classification Plan made from April 1, 2008 through June 30, 2008.
OBJECTIVE: To obtain approval from the Board of County Commissioners to ratify
additions to and deletions from the 2008 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan.
CONSIDERATIONS: Attached, as Exhibit 1, are additions to and deletions from the
County's 2008 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan that were made between April 1,
2008 and June 30, 2008. Many of the additions and deletions result from a study of
engineering titles that was completed in May. The note on Exhibit 1 explains the reason
for undertaking that study. Other additions result from the addition of management
depth in the Ochopee Fire District and in Information Technology and the desire to hire
Aircraft Mechanics directly instead of contracting for services with the CCSO.
FISCAL IMPACT: The results of this action will have a fiscal impact to the County for
minimal salary adjustments which are absorbed by individual departments.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact
associated with this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners ratifies additions to
and deletions from the 2008 Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan.
