EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation for the Board of County Commissioners to approve a budget amendment
to recognize revenue received for traffic accidents in the amount of $31,768.74 and to move
previous recognized revenue in the amount of $33,871.23 Fund 112, project #600761.
OBJECTIVE: To obtain approval from the Board of County Commissioners to approve a
budget amendment to recognize revenue received for traffic accidents in the amount of
$31,768.74 and to move previously recognized revenue in the amount of $33,871.23 to Fund
112, project #600761.
CONSIDERATIONS: Funds were received and deposited into Fund 111, MSTD General
Fund, in the amount of $31,768.74 for traffic accident reimbursements received through
collection efforts made through Risk Management and the Alternative Transportation Modes
Department and from tumlane reimbursements. These funds must be recognized and
appropriated to Fund 112, project #600761 for traffic accident reimbursements and repairs.
On 4/8/2008, Agenda Item 16134, the BCC approved a budget amendment to recognize revenue
in the amount of $33,871.23 for traffic accidents in Fund 111. Staff recommends moving these
previously collected funds to Fund 112 into project #600761 to provide sufficient time to address
the repairs and to provide funding through revenue collection for future accidents.
FISCAL IMPACT: Revenue received for accidents and tumlane was received in Fund 11 I in
the amount $31,768.74. A budget amendment is required to move the funds to 112 and
appropriate the revenue in project #600761. A second budget amendment is requested to move
previously recognized revenue from Fund 111 to Fund 112, #600761 in the amount of
$33,871.23.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management Impact associated
with this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners recognize and approve all
necessary budget amendments.
