A RESOLUTION APPOINTING AND CONFIRMING
THE APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS TO THE RURAL
FRINGE AREA ASSESSMENT OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, the County is required by the State of Florida Administration Commission,
pursuant to the Final Order of Case No. AC-99-02, to conduct an assessment of the rural and
agricultural area of Collier County, including: all lands designated AgriculturallRural; the Big
Cypress Area of Critical State Concern; all conservation lands outside the County's urban
boundary; and Southern Golden Gate Estates; and
WHEREAS, on August 3, 1999, and September 14, 1999, the Board of County
Commissioners agreed to conduct a bifurcated analysis of the assessment, with one process
focusing on the "Rural Fringe" area; and
WHEREAS, on December 14, 1999, the Board of County Commissioners adopted
Ordinance No. 99-86, creating the Rural Fringe Area Assessment Oversight Committee, which is
composed often (10) members; and
WHEREAS, there is currently a vacancy on this Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Conservancy has requested that the Board of County Commissioners
confirm the appointment of Kathy Prosser as their representative; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from interested parties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1. David E. Bryant is hereby appointed to the Rural Fringe Area Assessment Oversight
Committee to fulfill the remainder of the vacant term, said term expires at the conclusion of the
Committee's report to the Board of County Commissioners.
2. Kathy Prosser, representing the Conservancy, is hereby confirmed for appointment to the
Rural Fringe Area Assessment Oversight Committee, said term expires at the conclusion of the
Committee's report to the Board of County Commissioners.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority vote.
