EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation for the Board of County Commissioners to approve and
authorize the Chairman to sign an amendment between Collier County Board of
County Commissioners and the Area Agency on Aging of Southwest Florida to
reflect a decrease of $504.27 in grant funding for nutrition services.
OBJECTIVE: The execution of this contract is to amend the operating budget of the
Senior Nutrition Program administered by the Collier County Housing and Human
Services Department.
CONSIDERATIONS: In January 2008, the Housing and Human Services Department,
Services for Seniors program began administering the Senior Nutrition Program in East
Naples and Immokalee. The program is partially funded through the Federal Nutrition
Services Incentive Program (NSIP). Through this program, the County is reimbursed a
set rate for each meal served by the Senior Nutrition Program. Due to a reduction in the
Federal meal reimbursement rate, the County will now be reimbursed $.59534547 per
meal, thus resulting in a funding decrease of $504.27.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT: There is no growth management impact from this
recommendation.
FISCAL IMPACT: The Senior Nutrition Program budget (155972) will decrease by
$504.27.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney's
Office and is legally sufficient for Board action. - CMG
RECOMMENDATIONS: That the Board of County Commissioners approve and
authorize the Chairman to sign the amendment.

AREA AGENCY ON AGING
Collier County Board of County Commissioners
This AMENDMENT is entered into between the Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida,
Inc. referred to as the "agency", and the Collier County Board of County Commissioners,
hereinafter referred to as the "contractor." This contract is subject to all provisions contained in the
MASTER CONTRACT executed between the agency and the contractor, Contract No. 203.M107,
and its successor, incorporated herein by reference.
1. The purpose of this amendment is to:
• Increase the number of meal units by 1,925.
• Decrease the meal reimbursement rate from $.6137002 to $.59534547 per eligible
meal.
• Decrease the agreement amount by $504.27.
This amendment shall be effective on May 1, 2008. All provisions in the contract and any
Attachments thereto in conflict with is amendment shall be and hereby changed to conform with
this amendment.
All provisions not in conflict with this amendment are still in effect and are to be performed at the
level specified in the contract and the Master Agreement.
This amendment and all its attachments are hereby made a part of the agreement.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties hereto have caused this 2 page amendment to be
executed by their officials thereunto duly authorized.
