EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Authorization of a budget amendment reducing the budgeted transfer to the Clerk to the
Board by $60,000 in the Fiscal Year 2008 -09 Adopted Budget.
OBJECTIVE: Authorization by the Board of County Commissioners (Board) of a budget
amendment for $60,000; this budget amendment will eliminate funding for the Clerk to the
Board (Clerk) or his designee to attend regular Board meeting.
CONSIDERATIONS: At its September 23, 2008, meeting during Staff and Commission
General Communications (Agenda Item 15 G), the Board directed staff to prepare and bring
back for Board approval a budget amendment, which would reduce the FY 2009 transfer to the
Clerk by $60,000. The $60.000 budget reduction removes funding for the Clerk or the Clerk's
representative to attend Board meetings in an advisory capacity.
FISCAL IMPACT: The budget amendment reduces expenditures by $60,000. The General
Fund Reserve for Contingences will be increased by 560,000.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management Impact associated
with this Executive Summary.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board authorize the budget amendment.
