CONSIDERATIONS: The Historic /Archaeological Preservation Board had 2 terms expire on October 1, 2008 representing the categories of Real Estate /Land Development and Archaeology. This 7 member board is vested with the power, authority, and jurisdiction to designate, regulate, and administer historical, and archaeological resources in Collier County, under the direct jurisdiction and control of the Board of County Commissioners. Terms are 3 years. A list of the current membership is included in the backup. The terms for Mr. Thomas W. Franchino (Real Estate /Land Development) and Mr. John Thompson (Archaeology) expired on October 1, 2008. Please defer to the official minutes and / or audio recording in the event there is need for greater detail or additional clarification. As far as the other application, The Board did not vote for Richard Taylor because the application was not detailed enough to support a recommendation either way. The Board did relay a message to Mr. Taylor via staff to reapply with a more comprehensive application. The Board is requesting to have this Advisory position re- advertised.
