CONSIDERATIONS: Pursuant to Resolution No. 99-410, the Board of County Commissioners has determined that attendance at the functions of fraternal, business, environmental, educational, charitable, social, professional, trade, homeowners, ethnic, and civic association/organizations serves a valid public purpose, provided that said functions reasonably relate to Collier County matters. COMMISSIONER: Jim Coletta FUNCTION/EVENT: League of Women Voters Luncheon PUBLIC PURPOSE: Interact with local business, non-profit and government leaders and constituents ,...,......, DATE OF FUNCTION/EVENT: 10/20/08 FISCAL IMPACT: $25 Funds to be paid from Commissioner's travel budget. RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners, in accordance with Resolution No. 99-410, approve payment by the Clerk for Commissioner Jim Coletta to attend function serving a valid public purpose. Local candidates will also be in attendance. "Our mission is to encourage informed and active participation in government and it is critical that the voters understand the ramifications of these issues before voting" says President Chris Straton. The presentation will begin at 1 pm in the River Room of the Collier Athletic Club, which is located in the Commons at Goodlette-Frank and 7th Avenue North in Naples.
