APPOINTMENT OF MEMBER(S) TO THE OCHOPEE FIRE CONTROL DISTRICT
ADVISORY COMMITTEE
OBJECTIVE: To appoint 1 member to fulfill the remainder of a vacant term, expiring on
December 31, 2009, to the Ochopee Fire Control District Advisory Committee.
CONSIDERATIONS: This 5 member committee was created by Ord. No. 89-98 to advise the
Board of County Commissioners on the operations and budget of the Ochopee Fire Control
District. Members must reside within the boundaries of the Ochopee Area Fire Control Special
Taxing District, 1 member from Everglades City (appointed by the Mayor), 1 member from
Plantation Island, I member from Chokoloskee, ] member from Lee Cypress (Copeland) and 1
member from Ochopee. TernlS are 2 years. A list of the current membership is included in the
backup.
