EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Approval of a Budget Amendmcnt pursuant to Board of County Commission
direction on September 23, 2008 reducing by $60,000 the Clerk of Court transfer
which provided funding for attendance by the Clerk of Court at Board of County
Commission meetings.
Obiective: Eliminate the budgctcd appropriation for payment ($60,000 annually) to the
Clerk of Courts for attendance at Board of County Commission meetings.
Considerations: At the Board of County Commission Meeting of Septcmbcr 23, 2008,
Commissioner Coyle raised this issue for discussion under the Commission Comments
section of the agenda. After discussion, the Board directcd that a budget amendment be
prepared and brought back to the BCC for approval.
Fiscal Imoact: The budget anleodment accomplishes the Board's direction by reducing
the Clerk of Court transfer and increasing General Fund (001) contingcncy rcscrves by
$60,000.

Growth Mana2ement Imoact: There is no Growth Management Impact associated with
this executive swnmary.
Rccommcndation: That the Board of County Commissioners authorize the budgct
amendment.
