COMMITTEE
OBJECTIVE: To appoint 5 members to serve 4-year terms, expiring on December 14, 2012, to
the Development Services Advisory Committee.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Development Services Advisory Committee has 5 terms expiring
on December 14,2008 representing Architect, Land Planner, General Contractor, Engineer, and
Attorney. This committee is composed of 15 members and represent the various aspects of the
development industry such as architect, general contractor, residential or builder contractor,
environmentalist, land planner, land developer, landscape architect, professional engineer, utility
contractor, plumbing contractor, electrical contractor, structural engineer, and attorney. The
purpose of this committee is to provide reports and recommendations to the Board of County
Commissioners to assist in the enhancement of operational efficiency and budgetary
accountability within the Community Development Services Division and to serve as a primary
communication link between the Community Development Services Division, the development
industry and the citizens of Collier County. A list of the current membership is included in the
backup.

NOTE: Section Seven (B) of Ordinance 2001-55 states "Terms of office for Board members
shall be limited to two consecutive terms of service on anyone Board. .." Under (D) of the
same section, it is noted that "By a unanimous vote of the Commission, the limitations set forth
in subsection (B) above may be waived". According to available records, Dalas D. Disney and
Robert J. Mulhere have served 2 terms. Should the Board wish to re-appoint Mr. Disney and Mr.
Mulhere, the limitations on two consecutive terms will need to be waived.

RECOMMENDA nON: That the Board of County Commissioners consider the
