EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation that the Collier County Board of County Commissioners
accept additional funds from the Florida Department of Transportation in the
amount of $3,763 and provide a fifty percent (50%) match in the amount of
$3,763 for a total Budget Amendment of $7,526 for design, permitting, bidding
and construction oversight for the apron and parking lot expansion at the Marco
Island Executive Airport.
OBJECTIVE: That the Collier County Board of County Commissioners accept
additional funds from the Florida Department of Transportation (FOOT) in the amount
of $3,763, and provide a fifty percent (50%) match in the amount of $3,763 for a total
Budget Amendment of $7,526 for design, permitting, bidding and construction
oversight for the apron and parking lot expansion at the Marco Island Executive
Airport,

CONSIDERATIONS: The Airport Authority has received approval from the Florida
Department of Transportation to add $3,763 in state funds to the design, permitting,
bidding and construction oversight for the apron and parking lot expansion at the
Marco Island Executive Airport, Funding for the local match is available from Collier
County Airport Authority Grant Fund 496,
A Budget Amendment is required to recognize FOOT funding, and to fund the local
match requirement.
FISCAL IMPACT: A budget amendment is necessary to increase grant proceeds
and local matching funds. The local match is available from reserves in the Collier
County Airport Authority Grant Fund 496,
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no Growth Management Impact
associated with this Executive Summary,
RECOMMENDATION: That the Collier County Board of County Commissioners

percent (50%) match in the amount of $3.763 for design, permitting, bidding and
construction oversight for the apron and parking lot expansion at the Marco Island
